Learning from our dear H.O.S, Ms. Hima Doshi (By Arnav.S)

On this day, we were enthusiastic to see meet and learn from our H.O.S in our exhibition class. She made groups like seas, oceans, animals, etc since these were the areas which came up after we had skimmed through newspapers for issues. We thought they were our final groups but then we understood that they were our temporary research groups, whereby we had to investigate about issue specifically to the group we belong.

As we live in a democratic country we have the right to vote, thus we used the way of voting to arrive at the theme that we feel passionate about. The theme ‘Sharing the planet’ was the theme that most people are sensitive about. Through our session and browsing the newspapers made us aware that the following issues need to be addressed for truly sharing our planets with everyone. The issues that require immediate attention are:

1.   Poverty

2.   Unequal distribution of resources

3.   Inequality 

4.   Drought

5.   Flood

The PYP exhibition carry’s out actions more than words. We are trying to take action on some on the topic’s using this time of celebration.
